Childhood is the time for children to be in school and at play, to grow strong and confident with love and encouragement of their family and an extended community of caring adults. It's a precious time in which children should live free from fear, safe from violence and protected from abuse and exploitation. A child is an entity of a family, institution, society, religion and nation at large. While potential simply means having latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness. The potential of a child can't be underestimated because each child carries a special gift and talent for the growth and development of a country. If it's not properly nurtured, train and groom they turn our to become a nonentity to the society.
Different kinds of evil the country (Nigeria) is experiencing today is because the parents, guardians and the government lack their responsibility to cater for these children and they are leaders of tomorrow. Each child is embedded with a treasure and has a dream to fulfill in life , they are God given heritage.
Especially in this critical time (Covid-19) when the children need the attention of the parents, guardians and the government. The Covid-19 had presents the greatest challenge on the well being of these children both economically, psychologically, mentally, emotionally, academically etc.

1. Hunger: The pandemic disease Covid-19 has enhances hunger because of the preventive measure by the government which is really affecting the parents and guardians financially to meet the needs of these children and which leads to malnutrition, and lack of food for the children.
2.Psychological And Mental Imbalance: Majority of these children has seriously affected because if a child need is not meant if causes reasoning faculty of a child especially educationally.
3.Emotional Instability: During this pandemic disease Covid-19, it has increased emotional Instability especially among parents which usually lead to anger, anxiety and negative speech which can later affect the child behaviourally and intellectually by exhibiting fear, inferiority complex, depression etc.

Poverty:  The physical distancing and lockdown measure needed to save lives and suppress the transmission of the virus have resulted in a significant reduction of economic activities across all major economics  and the resultant of global recession and had led to many  families at  household level, struggling families will increasingly see the bread winner lose their jobs or to be forced to sell productive assets in order to survive with long running consequences of child poverty.
5.Child Abuse: The greatest negative impact of this pandemic disease is that it has make many children vulnerable. When a child is not well protected by a parent, the child will be exposed to varieties of evil eg  raping, criminal act, prostitution, premature death and early pregnancy. Some of them are sent by their parents to hawk petty items like sachet water, buns, and groundnut and in the process some "wolves" entice them with little gifts and have sex  with them even parents either look the other way or actively encourage their children to "source" for income to meet the family need through "runs" and there atimes poverty and ignorance is the root cause of these evil.
Solution For Children During Covid-19
1.Relationship: The parents should try their possible best to relate and get closer with their children during this pandemic period, to feel loved and accepted. It's during this time, the parents can easily discover the inner beauty (potential) of their children by asking questions educationally and build them morally. It will also help them to know their area of strength and weakness.
2. Communication: The parents/guardians should spend time for the children in interacting in order to know their mind, what bothers them and help them to solve their problems.
3. Continuous Learning: The children should be taught in the area of interest and what they love to do. The parents should engage,educate and empower them to avoid brain- drained after Covid-19.
4. Nutrition: Good feeding enhances cognitive faculty, though this pandemic is serious economically to feed, but the parents try to feed the children well with good and nutritious food.
5. Positive Word/ Optimism : The should always speak positively and word of encouragement to these children, even if there is little at home they will be able to understand the situation rather than negative speech through anger.
6. Education is basic to development and also regarded as an instrument through which society can be transformed. As a salient factor in transition programme, education equips human resources with the needed knowledge, skills and competencies which would make them functional, and contribute to the all-round development of the nation. It does not only help to supply the essential human capital which is a necessary condition for sustainable economic growth but it is also a key to poverty reduction and a major vehicle for promoting equity, fairness and social justice. For Adamawa State to experience rapid economic growth must give high preference to ensuring that a high percentage of its population is entitled to quality education.
Education is considered a major remedy for many problems faced by developing countries. For example, high fertility rates are adding to population pressures in several countries. From a global perspective and application of knowledge. Education in general and higher education in particular are fundamental to the construction of a knowledge economy and society in all nations. An abundance of well-educated people goes along with a high level of labor productivity.

While Economic Development refers to the transformation, efficient and effective management of human, natural and mineral resources with the creation of wealth and equitable distribution to the masses.  Education is the panacea to poverty, formal education is the major index of wealth and social mobility, the major implication of the stated relationship between poverty and education is that the solution to the poverty problem is to acquire education.
We must not be myopic in terms of maximization of resources especially in Adamawa State in which they involve mostly in Agricultural practice like rearing of livestock’s e.g. poultry, cows, cattle’s etc.  And cultivation of crops e.g. sorghum, millet, beniseed, groundnut, okra, pepper, tomatoes etc. 
We need the intervention of innovation and technology to facilitate food production through the use of machineries, storage ware house, application farm input and educating the farmers through extension diffusion. That is why we need to maximize our resources especially human resources to build our power and potential in order to maximize and utilize the remaining resources or else they remain untapped. Let’s the government invest on people, regardless of background, tribes, ethnics, if we can do this it will go a long way in developing Adamawa State.
Education must not be underestimated, education is a weapon to transform reform and change a, desert to river, a Sahel to forest, from mediocrity to information, technology and innovation. Let’s educate and save our girls, they have been neglected and rejected of their right which belongs to all and sundry. Gender equality is vital in attaining of progressive and sustainable economic development and a peaceful environment. On the other hand, the contribution of women to a society is usually through the workforce, in situations where women are not included in the labor force, only a particular portion of the workforce is being used thus leading to the wastage of economic resources on a large scale. It is clear that if Adamawa State is to prosper the girls must be educated, our failure to ensure this happens is one of the damaging legacies of our time, with generational consequences. In community where child marriage is highly prevalent and teenage pregnancy common, girls become trapped in poverty cycle unless that cycle is interrupted by access to education. Limited access to quality education is damaging not only on an individual level but on a WHY community and ultimately a societal level too.
WHY DO WE  NEED QUALITY EDUCATION IN ADAMAWA STATE?
Quality education is one of the important this we can do for futures generation. All students regardless of the socio-economic status or family background are entitled to education. Having a good education system is not enough for a state to be economically successful, but the state must also be able to hold onto its well educated residents because educated population leads to innovation, higher levels of productivity and increased economic growth.
A country that seeks to experience rapid economic growth must give high preference to ensuring that a high percentage of its population is entitled to quality education. Education in the modern economy has become a determinant for growth of the national economy. This is because, education is seen as an important factor of human capital investment.
Improving the level of school enrolments: School’s attendance and school infrastructure significantly determine the level of educational output. This implies that educational output will increase in the level of school enrolment, school attendance and school’s infrastructure.
The government should provide free education and make it mandatory to each and every citizen. This will help in limiting the level of illiteracy. Government should provide infrastructure and enabling environment to private sector investment for employment generation amongst the youths. They should also provide informal employment opportunities for the citizens and encourage them to be self-reliance. This can only be done through giving loans and building entrepreneurial skill for different types of businesses. This may have effects people and will not easily be brainwashed to involve in any activities like kidnapping, thuggery, sexual violence and insurgency.
Another pertinent issue in Adamawa State educational sector is that of teacher education. The basic problems reported by surveys carried out in various research in Adamawa State have shown discrepancy between the demand for teachers and the supply for teachers and that teachers fail to meet the minimum requirement as stated by the National policy for Education. This is due to lack of incentives, brain-drain and lack of motivation.
Financial constraint has also limit effectiveness and efficiency to quality of education. Insufficient fund tends to impede the efficiency of the researcher in sourcing for the relevant materials, literature or information and in the process of data collection through the internet, questionnaires and interview to update in their field of study and be relevant in this contemporary world.
The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of education on economic growth in Adamawa State from the above it is therefore recommended that the Adamawa government need to set up appropriate policies that will modify the educational sector of the economy to improve its standard as well as making education affordable and accessible to all.
Secondly, there must be provision of facilities for education at the crucial primary school level, especially at local government levels, the government therefore require a total restructuring of the primary education to improve its standard and level of enrolment.
Thirdly, there must be availability of infrastructural requirements in the education sector accelerates economic growth. There must be adequate facilities both public and private sectors. In order to enhance teaching learning process.
Fourthly, incentives that will improve teacher performances and availability of educational infrastructures is also to be examined so as to enable Adamawa State to increase its human capital formation that could lead to possible growth and development

             ADAMAWA STATE (THE LAND OF SUNSHINE AND BEAUTY)

Adamawa State is located at the North eastern part of Nigeria. It lies between latitude 7 and 11N and between longitude 11 and 14 E. its shares boundary with Taraba State in the south and west. Gombe state in its North-West and Borno State to the North, the state has an international boundary with the Cameroon Republic along its eastern side. It has a total area of 39,742.12 square kilometers. The 2005 projected population of the State is 3,106,585. The state is generally characterized by many rivers; the major one is the River Benue whose source is from the highlands of the Cameroon and flows Southward to join the River Niger. The State is divided into 21 local government area. Adamawa State has a tropical wet and dry climate. Dry season lasts for a minimum of five months (November-March) while the wet season spans April to October. Mean Annual rainfall in the State ranges from 700mm in the North-West to 1600mm in the extreme southern part of the State.
The State is naturally divided into two ecological zones; the guinea and Sudan Savannah Zones. In general, the distribution of vegetation reflects the combined control of rainfall, topography and to a lesser extent, that of soils. Agriculture is the mainstay of about 80% of the inhabitants of the state. The ecological condition of the State permits cultivation of root crops cereals and rearing of livestock in large numbers.

Adamawa State is blessed with abundant human and material resources, readily at the disposal of every investor to harness. The state has a fertile land suitable for agricultural activities and other economic activities. Majority of the people in Adamawa State are farmers, cattle rearing are also a major occupation, while village communities living on the banks of Rivers Gongola and Benue and their tributaries in the State engage in fishing and farming.
The major mineral raw materials are granite, barite, trona, salt, coal, gypsum, limestone, uranium, kaolin, sand, limestone, marble, magnesite lateritic etc. while the agro raw materials are sorghum, millet, beniseed, sweet, potatoes, water melon, onions, poultry, groundnut, pepper, groundnut, pepper, Bambara, cowpea, sorrel, livestock, coffee, cocoa, fishery, kenaf, sheanuts. The Sun shines and smiles as a bridegroom coming out of its chamber and rejoice as a strong man to run a race. Its line goes out through all the earth. The Sun determines the revolution and rotation of the earth. Adamawa state is one of the State that is enriched with natural, human, and mineral resources that added beauty to the land specifically. Adamawa State is known to have been endowed with enormous potentials, making the state to have special attributes and distinctive uniqueness in terms of arable land for Agriculture blessed with many tribes and dialects, it has rich and loaded historical heritage as in housing Sukur cultural heritage in Madagali Local Government . We must not underestimate the significance of the sun. The sun plays a great role in man, plants and animals. Plants have specific organs in their cells that convert sunlight to food energy through a process known as photosynthesis. A plant will capture the sun rays in the chloroplast through a chemical reaction and this conversion gives plants the ability to supply calories to all life. It is by plants that cows are fed and then the humans that feed on the cows. In this way, sunlight provides the source of food for all life on earth.

It takes the light of the sun eight minutes to reach us, and still it is only a fraction of the powerful heat generated by our star. Yes, it is obvious perk of having a sun, but we would have nothing if there was no light, and to pursue the things we enjoy most. Without the light of the sun, there would not be any life on earth.
